Kung Pao Chicken

Ingredients:
500 gms diced fried chicken
1/2 cup peanuts
1-2 green onions chopped
1.5 tbsp corn flour
1/4 tsp ajinomoto
5-6 red chillies whole
1″ ginger
4-5 garlic cloves
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp sugar
1/2 cup chicken stock
1/2 tsp white pepper powder
2-3 tbsp oil

Method:

  • Mix corn flour in 1/4 cup of water in a small bowl and keep aside to use later.
  • Heat oil in a wok and add broken red chillies, chopped ginger , garlic and stir fry for 1-2 minutes.
  • Add half of the chopped green onions and fry for another few minutes.
  • Now add soy sauce, sugar, and salt to taste. Stir in the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Mix the corn flour mixture and immediately add the chicken pieces and peanuts. Continue to stir for 1-2 minutes.
  • Garnish with the remaining green onions and serve hot.

Serves best with Burnt Garlic Noodles.
