Spicy Parmesan Shrimp Pasta

One of the easiest pasta recipes you’ll find. Made with ingredients that are easily found in your pantry, so you don’t need another grocery run when you crave some good Italian food. Also I can’t insist enough on switching to cast iron cookware whenever you can. Not only are they durable but are the kind of cookware that will never go out of trend. They are almost timeless & with a little care can be passed down to generations.

Ingredients:
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup Parmesan grated cheese
4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes, or more as per taste
1 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 cups penne
1 green onion sliced
Freshly ground pepper
Salt

Method:

  • Boil the penne in a pot of water till almost done & keep aside to rest.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium high heat & add olive oil. Saute garlic, red pepper fllakes & brown sugar for 1-2 minutes.
  • Toss in the shrimp and saute for another 3-4 minutes. To this add the cooked penne & mix together.
  • Season with freshly crushed black pepper & salt. Add the grated parmesan & stir well.
  • Once the shrimp are cooked, garnish with sliced green onions & serve hot.
