Bhuna Gosht

Ingredients:
1/2 kg mutton with bones
1″ cinnamon
2 green cardamoms
2 onions thinly sliced
1 tsp ginger paste
2 tsp garlci paste
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
Salt
Oil

Method:

  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker & fry the cinnamon & cardamoms for a minute or so.
  • Add the sliced onions & fry till golden brown for on medium to low heat.
  • Add ginger & garlic paste & saute till the raw smell goes away.
  • Add turmeric, red chilli powder, salt & the meat pieces & fry till the muton pieces begin to change color & turn glossy. Add 1/2 cup of water & pressure cook for 12-15 mins.
  • Open lid & let it slow cook/simmer for another 8-10 mins.
  • Serve hot with pulav or roti.
