15 mins Garden Bread

Focaccia

Ingredients:
2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp active dry yeast
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried thyme
1 pinch ground black pepper
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 cup water
2 tbsps olive oil
To garnish-
Few green bell peppers cut into strips
2-3 cherry tomatoes
Few sliced onions separated

Method:

  • In a large bowl, stir together the flour, salt, sugar, yeast, garlic powder, oregano, basil and black pepper. Mix in the vegetable oil and water.
  • Mix and knead until smooth and elastic. Lightly oil a large bowl, place the dough in the bowl, and turn to coat with oil. Cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm place for 15-20 minutes depending of weather.
  • Preheat oven to 450 F (230 C). Punch dough down; place on greased baking sheet. Pat into a baking tray. Brush top with olive oil & garnish with the veggies.
  • Bake for 15 mins & serve hot.
