Green Curry Chicken

Ingredients:
500-700 gms chicken pieces
1 onion chopped
1 med tomato chopped
1-2 potatoes cut in quarters & fried till golden brown
Oil

For the green paste:
1 cup chopped fresh coriander
10 black peppercorns
8 cloves
1tsp cumin seeds
1/2″ cinnamon
5-6 small garlic
1/2″ ginger
2 green chillies
Sugar
Salt
Lime

Method:

  • Grind ingredients for green paste in a blender with a little water and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pot and fry the onions till brown.
  • Add the tomatoes and cook till soft.
  • Now add the green curry paste and fry well. Taste for spice and salt.
  • To this add the chicken & mix well. Add 1/2 cup of water and cook for 15-20 mins or till done.
  • Finally add the fried potatoes & bring to a boil.
  • Serve hot with steamed rice or rotis.
