Malai Methi Chicken

Ingredients:
500 gms chicken
1 tbsp butter
1 onion sliced
1 tbsp garlic ginger paste
1/2 cup yogurt/curd
1 tsp garam masala
1 1/2 tsp cumin
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp white pepper powder
1/2 cup fresh cream
A pinch kasturi methi/ dried fenugreek leaves
1/2 cup Water
1/4 cup fresh coriander leaves to garnish (optional)
Salt

Method:

  • Heat butter in a pan/pot & saute sliced onions till soft & translucent.
  • Then add in the ginger garlic paste, saute till the raw smell goes away then add the yogurt/curd to it.
  • Now add the chicken pieces & salt. Cook till half done on medium flame.
  • When the chicken is ready add in the powdered spices- garam masala, cumin, coriander & white pepper powder. Add water, cover & cook till done.
  • Now add in the fresh cream & kasturi methi/fenugreek leaves. Mix together.
  • Garnish with fresh coriander & serve hot with naan or rice.
