Ingredients:

For the crepe-

1 cup flour
2 cups water
1 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg

For the filling-
1 lb minced meat
1/2 chopped onion
2 cloves minced garlic
1 chopped green chilli
1/4 inch chopped ginger
1/4 tsp turmeric
1/4 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 cup chopped fresh coriander
1/2 tbsp garam masala
1 tbsp lime juice
A pinch of black pepper powder
Salt
Water
Oil

Method:

To make the filling:

  • Heat oil in a pan & saute the onions. Once soft add garlic, ginger & green chillies. Fry till the raw smell of ginger goes away.
  • Add the minced meat & fry till tender.
  • Now add the spices along with salt & pepper & cook till brown.
  • Add some water if needed. We need a dry filling so make sure the meat is juicy and not runny.
  • Add lime juice, fresh coriander & mix together.
  • Keep aside to cool.

To make the crepes:

  • In a bowl sift flour & add salt. Mix well together.
  • Next add a half of the well beaten egg & slowly add water to form a thick batter.
  • Make sure there are no lumps.
  • Next heat some oil on a flat pan on med/low heat.
  • Add a spoonful of the batter to form a thin crepe.
  • Cook for 3-4 mins till done.
  • No need to turn over. We just need it cooked on one side.

To assemble:

  • Take a crepe & put some filling to one corner. Now turn over like a roll. Tuck the corners in like a burrito & roll over once again.
  • Seal the corner with some water + flour paste. This will help keep all the stuffing inside & you won’t have a spill.
  • Next roll each roll in egg & then dip them in breadcrumbs.
  • Shallow fry them on med heat till golden brown on all sides
  • Serve hot!
