For the Curry:-
  •  1/2 cup Fresh grated coconut
  •  6 Garlic cloves (roughly chopped)
  •  1/2 tbsp Coriander seeds
  •  1 tsp Cumin seeds
  •  1 tsp turmeric powder
  •  4 Black Peppercorns
Other Ingredients:-
  •  4-5 Fish (Pomfret/Pompano)
  •  Salt (as required)
  •  2 tbsp Oil
  •  1/2 medium sized Onion (finely chopped)
  •  1/2 medium sized Tomato (finely chopped)
  •  2 Green chillies (slit )
  •  1/2 tsp Granulated white sugar

 

Method:

In a mixer grinder, add the ingredients under ‘For the Curry’ . Add 1 1/2 cup water and grind till fine. Extract and strain the flavored coconut milk. Keep aside for later use. Save the coconut to make the thin coconut milk by adding 1 cup water.

In a vessel, add oil. Fry onion & tomatoes till soft. Add the thin coconut milk & bring to a boil.

Add the fish along with green chilies. Cover and let cook till fish is done.

On medium to low heat, add the the thick coconut milk and sugar. Let the curry simmer for 1-2 minutes.

Serve hot with rice.
